Our 4D baby scan displays the live motion of your baby’s 3D ultrasound. At Peek-a-Boo, our GE Voluson ultrasound machine uses high-definition software.
Using this specialised ultrasound equipment, you can see the fast and real-time movements of your little one. There is also a virtual light source to give the images a ‘skin coloured’ appearance for a more realistic and defined view of your baby.

No doctor’s referral is required for your 3D and 4D ultrasound. However, these scans are not meant to replace any medical scans recommended by your physician.
We use a state-of-the-art Voluson E8 ultrasound machine with superior technology. It features unique rendering techniques to produce, view, and record high-definition images.
Our 3D and 4D baby scans are performed by a fully qualified and skilled diagnostic medical sonographer.

When to Do a 3D and 4D Baby Scan
The optimal time to do a baby ultrasound depends on the type of images you would like to get. If you want to see detailed 3D or 4D facial images of your baby, it is best to get them at around 28 to 32 weeks (ideally 29 weeks).
During the first trimester, a baby’s facial features are not yet clear on a 12-week 3D ultrasound since they are still small. However, the 3D and 4D ultrasounds often include the whole body, enabling you to see your baby moving their arms or legs in real-time.
Although 3D baby scans are best done between 27 to 32 weeks, we can get it done on either side of this time frame. The clarity of images will depend on the baby’s position, size, placenta location, and amniotic fluid level.
